Pretty Day (for Weather and Work)

The weather in town was gorgeous today after our snow day yesterday! I have had to step away from dissertation writing for now because I am applying for a job that requires me to write a research statement and a teaching statement. Since I only had a rough draft of both, I was forced to shift my focus to those projects. Thanks to an informal peer partnership that I formed with one of our support group members, I was able to finish my draft of my research statement today! I am certain that if I had not had this accountability partner, I would have been tempted to play in the sun today. We have set a new goals for tomorrow, so hopefully I will keep making progress. On a less happy note, I am praying for the families and friends affected by the UAH tragedy. I am also praying for the family and friends of one of our own faculty members.
